Emma Watson plans to return to Brown University in Rhode Island this fall, and is even contemplating quitting acting for a while.
Sophomore Year
According to OntheRedCarpet.com Watson will be a 20-year old sophomore at Brown this fall. She is the actress who portrays the role of Hermione Granger in the "Harry Potter" films.
Regarding her return to school and rethinking the whirlwind life of acting, Emma Watson made the following statement to the media.
"I know that I can play Hermione but I don’t know," Watson said. "I really think I need to recharge my batteries and go and be me for a bit."
Ivy League School
And get a fine education in the process! Brown University is a private Ivy League university in Providence, Rhode Island. It is the seventh oldest college in the country, and has long been known for its reputation of quality education. Getting in to Brown can be difficult. Staying in can be even harder.
Thirdage.com reports that even though her movie co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint have numerous irons in the proverbial fire for upcoming acting stints, Emma Watson has a schedule that is presently free and clear, with the exception of going to school. She reportedly wants to keep it that way, too, at least for a little while.
"Belief in Myself Away from Acting"
"I think I need to find some real belief in myself away from acting," she said.
It sounds as though Emma Watson is one young lady who has her head firmly in place and her mind going in the right direction. She is going to buckle down and work hard to get her education while she is young and can do so. Does this mean Emma Watson will never return to acting? Certainly not. It simply means that at age 20 she is well aware that there is far more to life than acting, and she's out to find some of what she may have been missing.
