The endearing Emma Watson who grew up in the public eye because of the worldwide domination of Harry Potter, is going to college. Is it a boring subject?
Not at all. Emma has chosen to go to the Brown University, one of the Ivy League Universities in the United States, in order to get her college diploma. I think that is one feat that is hard to beat. And when she finishes her course, whoa! I will really stand up and applaud her.
Why?
It is because not too many young celebrities nowadays are being good role models to their followers. They do not realize how much influence they have on their fans and how much every action that they make affects their public. All they probably think about is their next project, more money, fame, the wild ride, etc. But little do they care about their image or how they are affecting the future of their fans. They don't understand that they, too, have a social responsibility apart from entertainment.
But not Emma. She is going to college. And with her worldwide fame, I believe that her move will encourage more young people all over the globe to also aim high and go to college. Many people just contend themselves by finishing high school. They do not have the drive to go to college even if they have the means.
So maybe, just maybe, which I am pretty sure will happen, that many young people will now opt to go to college with Emma's example. I hope that Emma will be able to pull this through and eventually finish her course.
